Aidfile Recovery Software is a tool designed to recover lost, deleted, or formatted files from various storage devices like hard drives, USB drives, and SD cards. The software offers specialized modes depending on the type of data loss, including Undelete, Unformat, and Recover Partition. How to Use Aidfile for Formatted Drive Recovery
If you have formatted a drive or partition, the “Unformat” mode is specifically designed to restore that data.
Select “Unformat”: Open Aidfile and click on the Unformat button.
Select the Drive: Choose the formatted drive/partition that contains your lost data and click “Next”.
Set Properties: Aidfile will ask for format recovery properties. Configure these if necessary.
Preview and Select: Preview the files found during the scan to verify they are correct, then select the files you want to recover. Recover: Complete the recovery process to save your files. Alternative Scan Modes
If the “Unformat” mode does not find your files, Aidfile offers alternative recovery methods:
Recover Partition: Use this mode if the partition has been deleted, lost, or resized.
Full Scan: Use this if the “Unformat” scan is unsuccessful. This performs a deeper scan, particularly helpful if the file system is not standard (NTFS/FAT32) or if “Unformat” fails. Important Tips
Do not write new data to the drive you are attempting to recover, as this can overwrite the lost files.
The software can be used for various scenarios, including accidental deletion, formatted drives, and partition issues on Windows systems (XP to ⁄11).
